Any way to omit the email address on 1040?

Is there any way to omit the email address on 1040 other than override?  The 1040 instructions clearly say it's optional.

Phone Number and Email Address:
You have the option of entering your phone number and email address in the spaces provided. There will be no effect on the processing of your return if you choose not to enter this information. Note that the IRS initiates most contacts through regular mail delivered by the United States Postal Service.

Well, obviously there's that.  I was referring to if I want to keep the email address in the info worksheet but not have it transfer to 1040.
