Client received a 1099-A showing Box 5 checked, Box 2 amount higher than Box 4 amount. No 1099-C.
How do I report a gain or loss if any? This is my first time filing this form.

Complete the 1099-A form, it can be found by using the "cant find a form" link. Then QUICK ZOOM to the Canceled Debt Worksheet at the bottom and complete it.
