Partnership receiving federal grant money but paid commission to accountant that filed all paperwork.  Can that commission be deducted from grant dollars and net reported?

That's not "commission" but expense. That would be a regular accounting services expense, no different than you paying them for payroll or to review a note payable. Even a Grant Writer is a basic consultant cost; not Commission.

No, it doesn't get deducted from the Grant. The grant is part of gross revenue. You report both as "in full."
