Improve the Notes

Please improve the notes, here's what I suggest (in order of difficulty to implement):

1. Highlight the note button if there's something in there!

2. Instead of a single freeform text entry space, add the ability to have several spaces (one for each note). This could be similar to the format of the "details" pop-ups -- multiple text areas with the ability to delete each one.

3. Make the notes a mini file system. When you create a new note, it becomes a file with a date and a title. You access the file using a small menu.

Agreed. The notes appear to rollover each year, which I like. However, it should add the users initials and the date next to each one so we know if it was from this year or not and who posted it, if they don't enter it themselves.

Would also be great to have a "Cleared' checkbox net to it so we know if it was answered or not.

I agree, the button can be highlighted with a color when there is a note.

Would be great if the notes included check boxes in a bullet list.  Preparer/reviewer can check off each note once it is addressed.

Yes, the roll over each year, but I have to indicate what notes are for what year.  I would also like to be able to download or print them to a cx file on my computer.  I use it to figure out questions that I need to ask the client as I am preparing the return.

Think this would be a great enhancement. Should also expand the character limits. I have been using PTO for many years and have reached the limit on many clients.

Thanks for enhancement idea to improve notes by adding characters, lines for different topics, & check boxes for clients. This is currently Under review and the team is researching next steps.
