    Hi @bcaulk

Thanks for posting in the Community! We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.. We have shared this feedback with the appropriate team.

The Tax Form Availability page is the best place to check for updates on when forms will be available. You can bookmark the page using Ctrl+D for quick access in the future. We recommend checking it regularly, as it is updated as new information becomes available.

No, unfortunately PC seems to be of no help. I was told this morning that our CA forms were finalized by the state, but they needed to get them into the PC system. They couldn't give me any idea when that may occur. Definitely disappointed at the lack of urgency to get this updated.

    Still getting the error

Wisconsin calculations associated with conformity or nonconformity to provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 are currently being researched and will be available in a future release. WI - Ref #61701   "

Forms page says they are available.......

Thanks for your response Katie, but that link is not helpful for this issue.

The Critical Diagnostic in ProConnectTax is - New York calculations associated with conformity or nonconformity to provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 are currently being researched and will be available in a future release. NY - Ref #61701

The link you provided says - (NY IT-201 and all other individual forms listed here) Final form without watermark was released on January 30, 2026

Please provide some guidance on when these calculations will be finalized and the Critical Diagnostic removed from ProConnectTax.

    Thanks!

It says that NY is final though, and we have the same diag? Please advise.

@TammyinBuffalo Have you reached out to support? If not, we would recommend contacting ProConnect Support for further assistance.

    Thanks Katie

I have followed up with ProConnect Support as you recommended.  Here is the response:

"Developers are working as quickly as possible to get the required information and get it into the program. We don't have a time frame for when it will be implemented."

The support person suggested that I check back on Thursday (which will be 2/5/26)

I talked to customer support this morning and they said that it normally takes them up to 3 weeks to get the forms ready to print once the state approval. So it looks like we could be waiting a while. Very disappointed at the level of care that PC is giving.

    Agreed, very frustrating!

Also strange as their Tax Form Availability page shows all of the NYS tax forms as "Final form without watermark was released on January 30, 2026"

The form page that you referenced says that NJ 1040 was release on January 29th.

Why am I still getting a Critical diagnostic message?  Can I e-file with this still outstanding?

    Katie,

Is there a reason the IT engineers can't figure out a way to provide us with a watermarked DO NOT FILE printable PDF for the State Forms that are still being finalized? This seems like a very reasonable workaround until the final forms are approved. In other words, we can't print anything we can mail in, but we should be able to print a DRAFT COPY for our clients considering we can still e-file.

At the VERY LEAST, please share the process and an estimated timeframe that we can hang our hats on. Having no answers is absolutely the most frustrating part of this situation.

At this point, it feels like our reputation as tax professionals is not being considered a priority and its affect with our clients. In fact, one client wondered if it was being done purposely to make taxpayers consider using your TurboTax professional services instead of independent preparers because Intuit would make a lot more money.

I've now gone from, "Our software company has a big job and I believe it's the State that is taking it's time to approve these forms" to "Intuit, which owns TurboTax, still hasn't released any version that we can provide to our clients".

To have to tell our clients for the 3rd week in a row that "It should be any day now" makes us look like we've made a very poor decision to partner with Intuit.

I have the critical warning for the state of Louisiana.  The final form without watermarks was January 12, 2026.  This is an intuit issue and I do not think they are in a hurry to help us.

Hi IntuitKatie! We are also still getting diagnostics regarding the state tax software not being final - New York calculations associated with conformity or nonconformity to provisions of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 are currently being researched and will be available in a future release. NY - Ref #61701 Also, we are getting diagnostic: "Federal Form 8960 is final, but the instructions are still in draft. If you file the return, there is the potential that calculations could change, and that you may need to file an amended return when the instructions are final. US - Ref #0." The diagnostic is still appearing (on 2/23/26) and a search of the Form Instructions says that the Instructions are NOT in draft form but are final and have been so since 2/9/26. Why is the ProConnect Tax software not being updated? I have spoken with ProConnect Support and they have talked to software and they say that it takes time (and that they are also frustrated). This sounds like Intuit not having sufficient staff. Our firm has used this software for years and this is by far the worst timing and customer support we have ever received.

As promised, here is the update on the OBBB diagnostics.  They have been moved to the suggestions section on the diagnostic page and will no longer appear as critical diagnostics as of today.

Thanks Intuit_Kallana.  I am more interested in when the software will be updated and they will be removed entirely.  Unless they are a permanent diagnostic that the software will need to be updated?

The idea that no one can provide an ETA on Form 8960 is just mind boggling to me in the middle of the tax season.  Something to hang your hat on while you wait.

Hi @Stonedust Form 8960 is live in the software and final.  Are you referring to the diagnostic regarding the form instructions inside the software?

Apologies for any confusion.  I am referring to the diagnostic regarding the form instructions inside the software.

Hi @Stonedust, thank you for the clarification.  While the instructions are not finalized in the program, that is similar to the OBBB a warning to preparers.  However, all calculations for the Form 8960 are finalized in the program based upon the current laws at this time.

Does this mean I can go ahead and e-file without the chance of the calculations changing, requiring an amendment.

Hi @Stonedust, it means that based upon the instructions as of today's date from the IRS the program is updated and you can ignore to efile based upon those calculations.  At no point can we ever guarantee the IRS makes no changes or adjustments to calculations or tax law, so no I can't say in that language that you can "e-file without the chance of the calculations changing, requiring an amendment."  That would be something we are never able to say at any given time.  If you have further questions, please contact ProConnect Support.

Intuit Kallana, following up on the diagnostic error related to NY OBBB that has been around for over a month now. I realize it is not a critical error, but I want to be sure all calculations are up to date based on NY regulations. This diagnostic error (Ref #61701) appears for all individual and S Corp returns.  Please advise how to clear this error or when Intuit will update the software so it doesn't appear anymore.  The S Corp filing deadline is only 10 days away and I am not efiling pending resolution on this.

Hi @PaV58 , I apologize there were multiple OBBB threads that I posted the answer to this question in last week and must have missed this one.  All of the diagnostics are suggestions and will remain there as there are certain states that do not conform until later in the year.  All calculations in ProConnect are current based upon the current state information to date, with the exception of Idaho that just released a new OBBB update on March 3rd.  All suggestions and critical errors you are more than welcome to click "ignore" on, but it will not disappear from the program diagnostic screen it will draw a line through it.  It does not stop e-file.  If you have further questions, please feel free to contact ProConnect Support .
