That's something I'd keep on the Carryover Notes and the folder for carryover.
Personally, I would not track stock basis for clients, especially since most are covered securities these days.
The only thing that I still track in relation to stocks (only because clients often don't understand its significance) is nondividend distributions.

That's the old fashion client file setup when things were done on paper and is replicated in electronic formats these days. Whatever you decide to do, it'd be outside of ProConnect Tax.
