If i efiled federal taxes but forgot to file state taxes what should I do

Try e-filing them ---------- I'm not sure if IL is one of those states that allows that.  Plan B is to print the state returns and have the client mail them in.

I had already efiled his taxes. I just forgot to actually do the state taxes on there. Should I amend them? or I guess I need a more detailed way of fixing

What got transmitted when you hit the send button (what was on the return)?  You need to figure what went out and amend from there ---------- unless the return got rejected.

The federal return was accepted. Now I'm just trying to go backwards to add on the state return but I have no idea how to do that

The state was not transmitted at all and was not accepted bc it was not submitted
