I'm trying to change the mobile phone in the client tab for a business return client. The place to put a phone number says "Work," and I'm unable to toggle it to mobile.
As long as the number is in there somewhere, does it really matter whether it is called work or mobile?
For verification purposes I do think it matters, right?? I am trying to edit the number. When I go to put the correct mobile # in it won't let me choose what type of phone it is and the default is "home." Meanwhile at the top left of the page it has the old mobile # still listed and then puts this new mobile # underneath that but has it tagged as mobile.
"For verification purposes I do think it matters, right??"
No, there isn't anything in the system at Intuit or the IRS that requires phone verification.
I don't use ProConnect, so I can't help you with the data entry issues.
When logging in to ProConnect the verification process uses a cell. This is for e-signature and uploading documents, not e-filing the return.
