You entered 300 in each of the two columns? It seems to work just fine.
The Spouse is a Ph.D. who is teaching at a High School but still wishes to be described as "Professor" as the Occupation on the tax return. There were $300 worth of legitimate educator expenses, but I believe that because I entered "Professor" as the occupation, the ProConnect software disallowed the deduction. I changed the Occupation to "Teacher" and tried to enter $300 again under the "Spouse" column of the appropriate educator expenses data entry. But it simply would not carry to the tax return.
My next guess is you did not get the filing status correct. The title should not have a thing to do with it. Contact Support EITHER https://proconnect.intuit.com/community/proconnect-tax-news-updates/discussion/proconnect-tax-assist... OR https://proconnect.intuit.com/support/en-us/help-article/intuit-account-settings/contact-proconnect-... and they can help you find the problem.
I don't know which is more amusing -- a high school teacher who insists on being called Professor, or a tax preparer who thinks what is entered as "occupation" makes any difference in how the software manages other entries.
