The Spouse is a Ph.D. who is teaching at a High School but still wishes to be described as "Professor" as the Occupation on the tax return. There were $300 worth of legitimate educator expenses, but I believe that because I entered "Professor" as the occupation, the ProConnect software disallowed the deduction. I changed the Occupation to "Teacher" and tried to enter $300 again under the "Spouse" column of the appropriate educator expenses data entry. But it simply would not carry to the tax return.
