In response to my comments about wrong or incomplete answers being posted here by people identifying themselves as Intuit employees and Tax Experts, I received this private message from Kathi @ Intuit:
Appreciate your help here
Morning Bob,
We really appreciate all that you do in the community. You help a ton, and it doesn't go unnoticed.
We hear your frustration, but we’d ask that we keep things constructive here.
They are newer to the Community and genuinely trying to help. We won't always get everything right, but we want to assist people and get them the help they need.
If something seems off, we absolutely welcome clarification or corrections. That is how this works best. A collaborative approach goes a lot further than a reactive one.
A little patience and respect can make a big difference for everyone involved. We appreciate the understanding and giving a little grace.
Again, thanks for all you do in the community and for your understanding.
Kathi

The only thing worse than a wrong tax answer on the internet is a wrong answer to professionals. There should have been adequate training prior to tax season. If this was an office in real life, of course you would point out a corrective fact or action or point to a better resource. That's how people get better at what they are doing. They don't need Grace, unless she's teaching for CEUs.
I didn’t even know Grace was posting questions. But now that I know we have to be nice to Grace, I’ll just steer clear of her ………… just to be safe. I don’t have time for any long walks to the principal’s office today.

Mine came today from Kathi.
Hi Susan,
We just wanted to take a moment to say how much we appreciate everything you contribute to this community. Your knowledge, dedication, and willingness to jump in and help others truly make a difference, and it doesn't go unnoticed.
We also want to address something we’ve seen come up: the sentiment that Intuit isn’t present or involved in the community. That’s one of the reasons we’ve been working to bring Intuit employees in during tax season.

We know this isn't always easy to navigate, and that is where voices like yours matter most. When something needs clarification or could be approached differently, adding context or redirecting goes a long way, both for the person asking and for those who are newer to the community.
A little patience and respect can make a big difference for everyone involved, and we truly appreciate your help in setting that tone.
Thanks again for everything you do. Your continued support means a great deal to us and to everyone who benefits from your expertise.
@sjrcpa Welcome to Group G (Graceless Grouches). Should we be insulted, or amused, that Intuit sees no problem with branding some women with no last names as "Tax Experts," without disclosing their credentials? Are they being paid, or do they just get a discount on software costs? What do they do the rest of the year?
Slava Ukraini? Or support the US government, which campaigns for Hungary's demagogue, who supports Russia's Putin, who supports the Ayatollah?
Insulted or amused? Maybe a little of both. But I'm really not concerned with the insult. My skin is pretty thick. I'm concerned about less knowledgeable practitioners thinking these "Tax Experts" really are Tax Experts.
