Submitted by bigbluexxv MondayI spent nearly an hour on the phone with tech support to try and resolve an issue where the Lacerte program does not properly calculate the NJ property tax deduction for multi family properties when the taxpayer is also a resident and the taxes are entered as an indirect expense on screen 18 (the amounts are correct on the federal sch A).
This is extremely disappointing for such a basic calculation given the cost of the software. It also leaves me with the embarassment of explaining this to my client and needing to file amended returns for prior years.
