I've called Lacerte several times about this issue since last year and haven't been able to get anyone to relay the issue to the Lacerte Programmers. Something changed in 2023 & 2024 Program. For all prior years, when doing a part year NYC tax return, the input screen for the IT360.1 required you to manually input the amount of income allocated to NYC. This is the correct way of doing so. For 2023 and 2024, the Lacerte program is defaulting to assuming ALL income on the return is NYC when just putting the part year dates of residence in. The amounts can be overwritten but that shouldn't be the case. The way it was in the program for years 2022 and prior is the correct way for the amounts to input. Is there a way to get this issue corrected?
