NC business returns checkbox "Yes" if automatic Federal extension

NC Form D-403, CD-405 and CD-401S all have a question "Federal Extension: Were you granted an automatic extension to file your Federal Income Tax return?  Yes or No".  It would be helpful if once the Federal automatic extension box is checked, to have this box also flip to "Yes" as it currently remains as the default of "no".  The Filing Instructions all change to the extended due date once the automatic extension is checked as filed, so it would make sense Lacerte would "help" flip this from "no" to "yes". 

NC has started sending penalty notices if this box was marked "no", even though a separate NC extension was successfully filed ahead of the original due date of the return.  NC is not looking within their system to acknowledge any extensions they received, but are instead using what was marked on the return.  Or at the very least, give us a non-critical diagnostic reminding us to check the NC box as "yes" if after the original due date.
