form 8868 filed form 1041-A

We have been on tech support call today regarding form 8868 not being able to be efiled if pertaining to a 1041-A extension. Your input screen should better inform the preparer, since it does have a box for efiling form 8868 for other forms on screen 14. Suggestion would be to add a warning to the top line somewhere that if pertaining to 1041-A you MUST paperfile the form 8868. Or on the diagnostic that generates maybe say that form 8868 for form 1041-A CANNOT be efiled but must be paperfiled. Some firms have 1 person that works all of the extensions and they may not be the preparer and would assume marking for extension and efiling for extension and the efile report saying extension was completed would get the all of the appropriate forms generated. Yes, there was a diagnostic that said form 8868 was not efiled but unfortunately the person doing the efiling of the extensions thought that since the efile submission was completed it included everything.

Our client needed a form 7004 for the 1041 and 8868 for the 1041-A and we only got the 7004 efiled. It would be very helpful if you could make one of these modifications please, until such time as Lacerte is able to handle the Form 8868 for 1041-A filings.
