Has anyone else seen this...seems to be an error, but I am having no luck getting Lacerte to correct.
Self-employed individual (Sch C) has health insurance through the market place and received APTC. On settle up, they owe back some of the APTC. If they are under 400% of the poverty level, so that repayment is limited, the worksheet is correctly limiting the health insurance deduction to premiums paid plus the repayment limit. When they are over the 401%, the worksheet is showing the repayment limit as zero, instead of the APTC received. Creating a deduction for only the premiums paid during the year.
Form 8962 instructions for line 28, under the Table 5. Repayment Limitation, says "400 or more .. leave line 28 blank". Line 28 is the repayment limitation.
Not resolved yet. When repayment is not limited, ie amount on line 29 needs to be repaid not line 28, the amount is still deductible. Worksheet for 7206 should included line 29 repayment. it is still deductible. What is work around?
