SDK Release?

JanOneil

I have a message in Lacerte when I try to use a program to push data into client's returns that says a new SDK version available starting February 4th and that it is mandatory to update to it. I am unable to use my program until this new SDK is released. Anyone hear anything on this or any word on when it will be released?

Do you log into the Developers' resources? I found this:

If you are using Lacerte 45.0203 or later, it is mandatory to upgrade Lacerte SDK to the latest. This is important for your TY24 integrations to work with SDK.

To download the installer for 32 bit application : Lacerte-SDK-Installer (x86).msi
To download the installer for 64 bit application : Lacerte-SDK-Installer (x64).msi
Instructions for the SDK can be found here : Lacerte SDK Developer Instructions.pdf

And:
V1.0.0.473 2025/01/08 Bug Fixes
V1.0.0.476 2025/02/04 Bug Fixes

Thank you, yes. I have been keeping an eye on https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/lacerte-sdk/docs/lacerte-get-started so I could grab it as soon as it was added, but the version # displayed never updated - "The current version (1.0.0.473) is available by selecting one of the following links."

A friend reached out and said they saw version 476 so I tried the download and was successful. When I bring up that page it does still say 473 for me.

Thank you very much for your help!!

Even though the developer's notes are not updated for the tax year, the change log shows the info, that's why I copied it out. Sometimes you have to dig.

Is this related to SurePrep error in Lacerte Hosted? We're getting the run around on this. It appears the Lacerte SDK driver is not updated, so SurePrep erroring, but RighWorks says it is updated to 476. So, each person is pointing at the other at this point and we can't get SurePrep to work.

It was related to GruntWorx, but they were up and running again right after the 476 version was released.

I'm having the same problem with SurePrep integration. When I called into Lacerte tech support earlier this week, they said the developers are working on it and is in Intuit's hands to fix this issue. You can call tech support to get emailed updates on the issue. I got one yesterday that said the next update is scheduled for on or before 2/20 which is totally unacceptable if it would take that long since we literally can't do anything until this is fixed.

Oh my, yeah that is far too long to have everything put on hold!!

I would think it is a SurePrep thing since the program I use is up and running again. Lacerte works, RightWorks works, the SDK works, and my population works.

I'm sorry to hear this and hope they get it working for you soon!

Thanks for the kind words, and glad your program is working!

I should have put my comment more clearly - the Lacerte program works fine, but the Lacerte driver is what needs to be fixed to integrate with SurePrep, which is Intuit's job.
