I was told that the program was made to stay open that is what everyone wanted. It does not matter if you exit Lacerte , log off the computer, reboot the computer, reboot the server, it still stays open. I see this as a major security issue. I have 8 computers. 5 for preparers and 3 back in processing. The 5 have the same users every day. Processing has a morning and evening shift. The evening shift can not log in under their user name an password. Their solution was 3 more computers for the evening shift. I do not have room for 6 works stations nor do I want to spend the money for seasonal. My biggest concern is what good is 2 factor anyway if it never shuts down for 24 hours. I logged in myself yesterday morning and it still would not log me off at 2am or ask for 2 factor again. This is not ok. This is a real problem. How do I move it up the chain of command. I had at one time the email for the office of the president. but no longer find it. I did like not having to log in again for multiple years but they should have an exit where you need to log in again if required to do so. It would be hard for me to believe that all Lacerte users are a 1 or 2 man business so they don't run into this problem.
Thanks for letting me VENT. any solutions greatly appreciated.
