How do you notify of a Programming error in the software?
The update today on 2/15/2022 for the Nebraska Form PTC is not calculating correctly for prior year real estate taxes paid in 2021 for the Property tax credit. The only way it will give you the credit is if you take the year out.
The credit is for all years of property taxes paid in 2021 it does not have to be 2021 property taxes. It was working correctly before today's update.

The best place to share this type of feedback would be through Lacerte using the Feedback option located in your Help menu. This will take you to the Lacerte Tax Idea Exchange. Your experience-based feedback is much appreciated.
If I want to be a pest or alert them of an immediate problem I will alert an Intuit employee as well such as atIntuitAlicia or someone else. Type @intuit and a list of names will appear.
Highlight the client and click Ctrl + L to start an e-mail to Lacerte. You can attach a sanitized copy of the file that shows the error and give a detailed explanation of what you think is wrong.
The Idea Exchange to start a wish list of improvements to features in the program that did not previously exist.
The Ctrl + L is to report computation errors, forms that don't print right, ... things that worked yesterday, but don't work today.
Thanks George.

I called them yesterday and spent over an hour on the phone explaining the issue while the person tried to find where my input was wrong. It was a tax return that was right the day before (and signed for e-filing but now I can't efile it) and then changed with the update. Finally they escalated it as a programmming issue and said I was flagged to get any emails that occurred in trying to solve this issue. I have not received any emails yet. I doubt they are even working on it at this point. The issue is not limited to individual returns, but also occurs in the business modules.
My tax season has come to a screeching halt as I cannot finish any tax returns for anybody that owns property in Nebraska.
