Forms final???

When will Lacerte finalize all the forms?  I have a backlog of returns that are ready but diagnostics are telling me that forms and/or instructions are not final.  Come on!  The IRS opened up a week ago.  They must have the forms final if they are accepting them.

As for states - why is Lacerte waiting for the states to change forms?  The diagnostics warn of "potential" change because of OB3.  Maryland has opened up filing season.  It is not waiting for rule changes that may never occur.

You're welcome to use your professional judgement about whether you think instructions or calculations are likely to change in a way that affects any given return. I've filed a dozen returns with final forms and the "instructions are still in draft" diagnostic, with no issues.

I'm in CA where our forms are "ready for efiling" but can't be printed out so we can't give a copy to clients.  Which means, we're not filing at this time.

I get a message that a worksheet for MD is not available.  When I try to print, I get a box that pops up that says:

This return may contain one or more state forms that have not yet been fully implemented by Lacerte and/or released and approved by the appropriate agency.  These will print as a blank sheet with an "Unavailable" notation until it has been released and/or approved by the appropriate agency.

All non-final forms in this return are listed in General Information under the "Forms needed for this return" section in the Forms tab.

This is preventing me from filing.

Yeah, not having final forms is a big annoying problem. Not having final instructions is not.
