"...You can give them the Shareholder's Instructions for K-1s with their K-1s."
That's what I do for the PDF'd K-1 packages; I tell them what page to look for, and I warn them about printing the whole dam - n - ed (censors...) thing out.
The page(s) with all the codes that used to be page 2 of the K-1?
Sounds like one of last year’s more popular questions
So, what was last year's more popular answer??
More popular answer... was that the IRS changed things..& that page of codes is buried deep in the K-1 instructions
So, has anyone figured out a way to get K-1 page 2 (with the code explanation) to print with the K-1?
Yes, page 2 of the K-1 with explanation of the codes on page 1
You can't print something that doesn't exist.
You are missing the point that " Page 2 " no longer exists. THAT info is now buried in the instructions. I guess you can go thru them & try to figure out how to print just that page as an attachment to the K-1.
Jeff - made me think of "you can't always get what you want".
Song/artist - without googling 🙂
Re: Page 2 K-1 code explanation no longer available: Its just odd that Lacerte no longer has a solution for this information that pass-thru clients will often need. And I receive K-1s that have been prepared by others that do have page 2 attached.
Sarcasm is not a solution. Lacerte should figure out a solution.
"Sarcasm is not a solution"
But it helps when there isn't a solution.😀
But why is it so important to print that anyway? Very few folks prepare their own return manually. For folks using tax software it is pretty much a fill in the matching box. So why waste another page of paper that is pretty much useless?
You can modify the K-1 letter to say that the codes are in the Shareholder's Instructions for K-1s.
You can give them the link to Shareholder's Instructions for K-1s.
You can give them the Shareholder's Instructions for K-1s with their K-1s.

Now that's thinking of a "solution"....thank you.
Hey, since I am a member of the pot-calling-the-kettle-black club, can I get waived into the pot stirrer club?
You already have a pot so you are in.
