Nope. And the statuses are stored in Lacerte by number, so if you just change all the descriptions, congrats, you've just changed the status of all your clients and have to unlock the files to change them back!
For the current year, change the description of that one to Do Not Use. For next year, roll all the options forward, then rename the statuses how you want, then proforma. If you don't change the proforma status (usually #1), the order in which you rename and proforma isn't important.
