I can log into my account for tax year 2022, but not for 2021.  What's wrong?

Logging into an account seems more like an online tool, such as Turbo Tax?

You have to update the 2021 and any older versions before you can log in.

It's easily available from the Windows Start button. Select all programs, go to the year you want, click on it and a drop down will give you the update link. Even if there is no update available, you have to go through the process before it will let you login.

After the last update, the program is not auto calculating the NY depreciation difference , and populating it on the IT 225 of the NY partnership tax return.

I reported this to Lacerte tech support, and they had no idea what I was talking about.

I was able to calculate the numbers and input the adjustments myself so the return is correct.  But, the adjustments were there before the last update, and the next update isn’t for a couple more weeks.  I don’t know if it’ll be fixed.

Has anyone else explained this?

It's a rough time of year and it sounds like the standard operating procedure for updates. If the update fixes one problem, it generally creates another, including the disappearance of perfectly good, previous data and the flow into other schedules.

50/50 it will be corrected or restored in any update. That's when you or someone else creates a work around, so the software will do what you want and not create an override situation. It's just the Intuit way of doing things. I hope it will be corrected for you, and if it negatively effects enough preparers, the complaints will increase and maybe get some results.
