The following diagnostic is generating: The amount for land is greater inside of Montana than everywhere.  (ref. #14798)

Comments

The data entry for land is correct allocating between Montana and Idaho so the diagnostic is incorrect.  And, Montana no longer uses land in its apportionment calculation so it shouldn't matter anyway.  This diagnostic is preventing the ability to efile Montana Form PTE (partnership).

What's the resolution?  I have the same error.

Hi @CTop This unexpected behavior has been addressed in a program update on May 13, 2026. Please make sure you are using the most updated version of Lacerte.

Years ago I had an issue with Land not being included in the Apportionment for DC when it was supposed to be. Support was insistent that Land was not Real Property. After banging my head against the wall I was able to override it.
