THIS IS RIDICULOUS! Today is Jan 23rd. E-filing opens Monday Jan 26th and Lacerte has yet to release any Ohio forms. I CAN'T FILE tax returns that are easy as can be. I paid $10,000 for this software and Lacerte has yet to deliver a product that I can use. BS!!!! I bet if I go on TurboTax or a new TurboTax store I can file Ohio. Intuit DOES NOT CARE about Lacerte users ability to work and make money. They only care about Intuit.

Hi @glbowencpa Thanks for posting in the Community about the release of the Ohio tax forms. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and thank you for being a long-time customer. We have shared this feedback with the appropriate team.

Historically, Ohio forms have been released within fifteen days of the final version becoming available. However, this timeline can vary from year to year.

The Tax Form Availability page is the best place to check for updates on when forms will be available.

You can bookmark the page using Ctrl+D for quick access in the future. We recommend checking it regularly, as it is updated as new information becomes available.

That's weird.  I don't do OH returns but it looks like ProSeries as the basic OH returns finalized and ready for e-file on Monday.

January 30th and still can't complete and print OH returns. Extremely disappointed, whole week has been a wash and can't even catch-up this weekend.

Unbeleivable that Intuit hasn't put in the effort to get the Ohio forms out. The State of Ohio Income Tax site has had the forms available. What's the hold up? Piles of tax returns that can't go out to young people in need of their refunds.

Thanks so much for the feedback. We will give this information to the right department. Our best resource we have is the forms availability page. We understand the frustration around waiting for final forms and appreciate your patience.

It is now February 2nd and still cannot print OHIO tax returns. The fact that those forms are and have been finalized on both Intuit TurboTax and Intuit Proseries (a much lower cost professional software), is a huge slap in the face.

Will there be a huge refund of fee's paid to Lacerte software to OHIO users?

I have to admit, I get a little smile when I see this post.  Every time I have seen it pop up in the last week or so, I can't help but think that we are trying to get someone freed from prison.  Of course, to be fair, the OH users do feel like they are locked in prison since they can't print OH returns.

As to the last post regarding refunds, I can tell you exactly when you can expect that refund to reach you.  I forget, what's the name for that really hot place where the devil is said to hang out?  Whatever the name is, you will get your refund when that place freezes over.

It is now February 3rd and still no OHIO tax forms. Cancelled my appointments for the rest of the day and demoing 2 other software providers this morning/afternoon. Been using Lacerte since 2004.

@Katie_at_Intuit

It is now the end of another business day and no answers or OHIO forms!

We need an answer ASAP on this issue. The Forms availability link is useless and gives no date. Intuit TurboTax and Intuit Proseries, along with other professional tax programs, have had these forms finalized for a while.

Phone support knows nothing and managers refuse to speak or call back. No one to email at Lacerte, as email address for higher-up's are not available. I've been promised call-backs twice from support and no call backs have happened.

Took all of our money for non-useable software and wasted the first 10-days of tax season already.

This seems to be an ongoing issue with Ohio each year.  It is extremely inconvenient and only seems to get resolved when enough people complain.  Your list of available forms is indeed useless since there are NO DATES other than 15 days after final release but hmmm no date for final release so no help there.  All forms should be available when filing season starts...period!  Get your team (software engineers aren't known for their proactive approach) going so that we can actually start the season on time....you sure want your invoice paid timely but your product isn't timely at all!

"All forms should be available when filing season starts"

In defense of Intuit (and check my posts, I'm not a defender of Intuit), that one is impossible.  They do rely on the various taxing entities to finalize forms before Intuit can finalize their own forms and not every form is typically finalized by the taxing entities by the time e-filing opens. However, it is extremely frustrating when you can see other softwares have forms ready to roll while Intuit won't commit to a firm date when theirs will be ready.

Update.!!! Today is February 4, 2026 and Lacerte still hasn't released Ohio forms yet. How PI$$ED am I? I watch all these ads on TV for Turbotax & it's stores.  Can they print Ohio yet? I bet that they can. Intuit is greedy and does not care about local accountants that are BUYING THEIR SOFTWARE. Horrible.  Definitely switching software next year.  THIS IS GARBAGE!

February 6 and no Ohio forms.  And no updated information as to when.

Turbo tax has Ohio forms. Why are we paying more and getting less priority?

ATX has Ohio forms already also! We need these forms please!

Currently on hold with billing to see about a refund for the Ohio portion of the software.  Why pay more and get less support.  Doesn't make sense.  I will be finding a new software provider come next year unless compensation is given for the delay.  Costing me money by letting work pile up and then will be paying support staff extra to try to catch up.  Lacerte does not seem to care about their customer base at all.

Completely unsatisfied with Lacerte.  Spoke with them about a work around to at least allow printing with e-file only water mark and they won't do it.  Was told that the next release date of February 18th should include the ability to print.  Apparently, they do not realize that is almost a 1/3 of the tax season and expect us to just let work pile up on our desk in the meantime.   Offered no return compensation for the fact that you pay nearly $10,000 for software that doesn't allow you to perform what you paid for.  After 30 plus years with Lacerte I will definitely be finding new software for next year after the **bleep** show they are putting us through this year.  It is completely ridiculous and unacceptable that they expect us to wait until mid to late February to be able to print returns.  I hope that every customer who uses Ohio software either receives a full refund for the product they purchased that doesn't work or next year finds a new software provider in the future.

February 18th!  Ridiculous!!!!

I just got a call back from Lacerte informing me that they don't plan to help current customers any way with this issue.  My business has been a customer of Lacerte for over 35 years, and it is an absolute joke that the company is not trying to assist and support the customer base.  I told the representative that I will not be a customer going forward if this is how they plan to treat us and that I will also make sure to no longer advise other professionals in the tax business to utilize Lacerte but instead will be sure to share this information with them so they don't choose to change from their current software provider to Lacerte moving forward.  I can't believe a company would treat customers as they are on this issue when they know that the tax season is short and we need the software to be ready and available during filing season.  I will be a big advocate moving forward to use word of mouth advertising to show my displeasure for how we as preparers are being treated by Lacerte on this issue and highly recommend to other tax professionals to utilize a different software.
