I downloaded the new version for the new year and so much issues. I can't print pay checks by department. I can't print payroll journal or earnings report by department. I could at least print earnings report by employee however, after doing the update last week (12/8/25), I couldn't even do that now. I called EasyAcct and they told me that the developers' solution to all the errors is to delete all payroll created prior to the 11/19/25 update. Are you kidding me!!! They want me to re-enter the entire year's payroll! It is 12/15/25, the year-end is approaching and they want me to re-enter the entire year's payroll! Supposedly, this will fix the issues, but what if let's say, I'm crazy and I actually do that...is it guaranteed it will fix it??
Hi @evjose Welcome to the Community and thank you for sharing your experience with payroll in EasyACCT. We checked with our support team about the guidance you received on deleting payroll entries. They confirmed that the affected date range is approximately 11/14/2025 to 11/19/2025, not all payroll entered before 11/19/2025. You should not need to re-enter the full year.
We understand how important accurate payroll records are, especially at year end. We are staying in contact with our development team and will share any new details or updates as soon as they are available.
Thank you again for reaching out.
Hello @evjose ,
There is a new release of EasyACCT now available – Version 2025.1.10.
This release includes the following items below:
We know this release does not cover all concerns that have been raised, but we wanted to keep you updated on the progress being made. We will continue to share updates as more become available.
Thank you!
Kathi
Any idea when the errors will be fixed? It's been a while and it's already the end of the year. We still can't print checks and reports by department.
Hello @evjose!
There is a new release of EasyACCT available. Update to the latest version:
For those using Hosted, the update will be available this upcoming weekend.
I just updated to that and it didn't fix it. I tried printing earnings report by department and it doesn't work. If I choose to print a report by department, it'll print the employee from department 2 in between department 1, since it prints it alphabetically first. I need it to print by department, then alphabetically within that department. This is what it was doing before all these issues was created with the new software upgrade.
I don't know if it fixed printing checks by department. I will try it when I do a payroll today.
Thanks for the details, @evjose. Keep us informed on printing checks by department as well. We will pass along those details and let you know when we get additional information. We may not have more info until next week due to the holiday.
Nope, it's still not printing checks by department.
Thanks for the update. Hopefully, you will have it fixed soon.
You do realize next week is to late for some of us that need to run 2026 payrolls on 1/2/2026.
You're still able to run 2026 payrolls. I just did one yesterday and it was okay minus not being able to print by department. I'm hoping the quarterly and year-end forms won't have any issues.
Were the tax tables correct? i am scared to update but I have payrolls to run on 1/2/2026.
I manually adjusted the SDI rates and FICA Limits. The tax tables aren't always accurate the beginning of the year anyways. It usually changes when you run the 2nd check for the year. So, I don't see that as much of an issue.
Now, since the latest update, I have another problem. One of the employee isn't showing up on the earnings report. He is there. I can print the earnings report with just that employee but it won't add him to the total. This is so frustrating. It seems like you do an update and it either does nothing to fix the issues or it creates more. I really hope you guys get this fixed! SOON!
Just an update on my last post. I've been changing different things on said employee and apparently the program doesn't like that his name starts with a Z. When I changed the employee ID to SE instead of ZA, the employee shows up on the earnings report.
The new release has taken the ability to run payroll journal by employee. The employee information is missing the last name, so definitely a coding error, and it can't complete the task and a blank page comes onto the screen. Also, the view screen doesn't fit the screen like it use too, you now have to unclick the view screen to make all options available and the screen is small. This has been an issue since last 20024/2025 update, for the cost of the program, the lack of tech support to fix these basic programming issues is unacceptable, with this latest 2025/2026 software update being one of the worst. I have audits to run and individual employee information that must be available through the journal reports. Is there a fix coming soon?
Hello All,
Thank you for the detailed update and for taking the time to share what you discovered. We hear your concerns, especially given the impact this has on audits and payroll reporting.
We are actively gathering Community feedback and confirming that these behaviors, including the payroll journal by employee, display, and the employee ID scenario identified, have been reported. Our development team is actively reviewing and working on a fix.
We will continue to monitor this closely and will update the Community as soon as more updates become available. Thank you for your patience and for helping us pinpoint these concerns.
There's also issues with Manual Processing:
When going to WRITE CHECKS - prior written checks does not populate unless you bring it up on the manual processing screen first then write checks
When re-printing checks using WRITE CHECKS, if you hit enter, it doesn't populate the next check number which is what it did before.
We can't do a manual check anymore if we wanted to print just one check. If you enter a new check number, it just brings up checks that were already used and populates that check.
Also, when I restore a company and overwrites the existing one, when I open said company, it has errors, employees aren't showing up.
I'm hoping we don't have issues with quarterlies and year-end forms. Your tech really should be working round the clock to fix these errors that was created since the upgrade to the new software for the new year. It has been a nightmare.
The new intuit easy accounting software has so many problems with it that I now am thinking they have a virus in the system. Our company cannot copy to another drive to save a backup. My last bank rec is missing all the checks and deposits in the screen. On a bank rec we tried to complete the payroll checks are missing. It's like a virus eating up all our previous work.
We do not have confidence in working on it. I have two staff members on the organization that are very frustrated. We are nervous as the updates don't solve any of these problems. A number of other problems are also happening. It's January 6th and I have to wait an hour or more on the phone to talk to technical service. I hope they will be able to fix all these problems. Unbelieveable for this expensive software to be such a nightmare this year. Every year in the beginning we have issues but this tops all of them. To have previous disappear and when you copy a backup to your other drive the whole company disappears on the backup drive. This needs to be fixed.
Thank you all for the follow-up. We will continue to monitor this closely and share updates with the Community as they become available. All feedback will continue to be provided to the appropriate teams. Thank you for your patience and for helping us identify and track these concerns.
I’ve got issues as well! When I went to close out the payroll to roll the program forward to 2026, it wiped out 2 completed payrolls in August 2025, and REPLACED all the payroll in September -December 2025 with checks numbers and wages for employees posted to September-December 2024!!!!!!! The earning reports for every month is not calculating MTD, QTD, YTD appropriately!!!! This is BEYOND insane!
Hello All,
There was an update today and wanted to make sure you were all aware.
Your concern may not be listed in this release; however, for visibility, we are including this information here in case this post is found first.
At this time, we do not have an estimated timeline for all fixes. With the current 2025.2.02 release, the following items are included in the update:
Please continue to bring forward concerns. Every item raised is shared with our support and development teams for review. Your feedback truly matters and development is actively working on a resolution.
If you are still experiencing any of the items listed above after installing Version 2025.2.02 or have any program questions, EasyACCT Support is best equipped to take a look with you.
We will share updates as more information becomes available. We appreciate your patience and thank you for continuing to share your feedback.
As another EasyACCT customer affected by the 2025/2026 release, I want to reinforce how serious and widespread these issues are.
The current 2026 build continues to break core payroll and reporting functions that many firms rely on daily. Documented problems include:
These are not edge cases. Multiple users in this forum have reported the same failures over several weeks, with updates either failing to resolve the issue or introducing new defects. Some reports describe shifted payroll history, incorrect YTD and QTD calculations, and data being overwritten during roll-forward. At this point, the risk moves beyond inconvenience into compliance exposure.
From a practical standpoint, what many firms need right now is stability, not another rushed patch.
A reasonable and responsible solution:
No one expects development to stop. Users expect a safe fallback path. Forcing migration to a version still showing payroll, reporting, and data-integrity failures puts firms in an impossible position.
Leaving the 2025 version available with current tax tables gives customers a way to stay compliant while your team completes a proper fix. That approach protects users, reduces support strain, and restores confidence in the product.
Please give customers the option to work safely until the 2026 version proves production-ready.
We continue to have issues with these new updates for 2025/2026 conversion of our clients. With W2 and 1099 deadlines fast approaching this needs fixed immediately. There should not be corrupted files due to coding issues. This appears to be a sloppy job by Intuit. Also, any manual fixes that any of us do could cause issues if or when Intuit fixes the issues in another update.
We should not be having this issue in this month year ends etc. happening.
I am also having the same problem after the update yesterday. The system keeps crashing cant print W3 bank accounts are still missing and opens really really slow. Payroll report errors still.
Thank you all for taking the time to post this in the Community. There was a release on Monday that fixed the concern with the W3s not printing and crashing the program. We will continue to review all Community posts to ensure the concerns being raised have been, or are being, communicated to our development team for review.
As fixes are released, we will continue to update the community.
how do you delete a payroll that is direct deposit. i am unable to go back though manual processing. and payroll journal is missing 2 payrolls from the month of December. How am i supposed to figure state taxes out when payrolls are missing and these are due tomorrow
I agree, most of us are not willing to upgrade to a version that is riddled with problems!
I agree, it's been ridiculous. I've finished processing our quarterlies without any issues thus far. But now I'm worried something might come up and then I'd have to fix them.
Couple of other issues I've come across:
-Restoring to same DATA folder with existing client, messes up the file and all employees disappear. I have to create a new folder to restore it to
-Using EMPLOYEE ID starting with the letter Y & Z doesn't work, the employee doesn't show up in the reports. I almost did the audit report incorrectly. If I hadn't added the 4 quarter reports, I wouldn't have know that an employee was missing.
-Reports still won't print by department which is such a pain when doing payroll audits.
-Still can't print checks by department
I'm sure there are more issues that what I've listed above. This is so URGENT and I feel like it's not being addressed as quickly as possible. All these year-end forms are due in a few weeks!
WE have state taxes due tomorrow and 3 payrolls have gone missing over the last 2 months. HOW CAN DATA just disappear. like someone in this company needs to start getting the junk program fixed. ASAP. WE cant get accurate numbers and we have to pay the fines cause the program cant do basic arithmetic
Thank you for the continued feedback.
