2025 PAYROLL ISSUES

M_COX_CBTS

Is anyone else having trouble with the Earnings Reports and Payroll Journal and not having Payroll post to either report. We have had almost everyone of our companies that we do payroll for become what I can best describe become corrupt. It has completely removed 2025 payroll checks and replaced them with 2024 payroll checks. The payroll chekc registers are not posting the tax numbers to either the Payroll Journal or the Earnings Reports. We are having to hand calculate the taxes and manualy override the 941 the 940, the state SUTA forms. This is absolutly unacceptable. I am getting rejection notices from Social Security BSO because everyone of our companies information has been deleted. How can I have a company set up and do payroll if there is no EIN number or any owner information, adress, phone number, there is nothing entered into the company information section anymore. This is totaly unprofessional and everytime we call Intuit they just pass the puck and say it is because Microsoft has come out with a new update and messed with their program or we get the wonderfull line that the I.T team is working hard on fixing these issues. And now I can't even get someone to answer the phone because the office is still closed a half hour after it is supposed to be open. So I am asking my fellow tax and accounting experts on here if they have had any simmar problems and what they did to fix these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I haven't had this issue because we are still using the old version.  But I just wanted to comment on your statement that IT says it's Microsoft fault due to an update.  If that's the case, why does the old program work just fine?  Seems fishy to me.  I appreciate the IT team is working hard to correct issues, but gosh, total transparency would be FANTASTIC instead of leaving us all in the dark as to what to do next! Good luck!!!

We also have not updated all computers to newest version.

Pain in rear, but we have one running updates to see when they fix things.  But actual payrolls currently been being done on earlier version that is (so far) working with only minor issues.

But my computer we updated to 2024.2.07 to successfully print W2s, but cannot keypunch here, because have do not dare update to newest version on all computers.

We also have one computer that was updated to a newer version.  I haven't updated it all the way, as I know it works now just for W2s and tax forms.  So that's all we've used it for.  Praying things get fixed CORRECTLY and soon!

If you haven't been updating then you will still have problems not seeing the Payroll Earnings.  This issue was fixed in either update 11 or 12.  I would really encourage everyone to start using the new version and do the updates, or you will continue to have problems! Yes, there are a few glitches, especially in A/R, but I do believe that the overall program is better than at the beginning of the year.

We HAVE  one computer that we keep all updates up on.   But we also check the issues we are having against the new program, and if what we need to function is not fixed, then we are not updating the other computers.

What about the inability to backup to a flash drive, unless you first delete the previous backup on that flash drive?

I am not even going to go into the issues, but know that we ARE monitoring the updates, and there are still things not working right.   And now we are "update shy"
