Based on our past experience, we do not have high expectations that posting this will lead to meaningful improvements. However, since this appears to be the only available channel, we are leaving this feedback.
The issues we are experiencing are the same ones that many other users have already reported.
Since the 2025–2026 update, the software has shown serious performance and stability problems:
Excessive loading time when accessing individual company files
Extremely long delays every time the date range is changed in Transaction Data Entry
Frequent freezes, lag, and malfunctions that cause the program to become unresponsive for extended periods
These are not minor inconveniences. They are severely disrupting daily operations and have reduced work efficiency by more than half.
What is especially frustrating is the recurring pattern where updates break features that previously worked perfectly fine. For example, reports are now displayed incorrectly unless the Fit to Screen option is turned off—an issue that did not exist before. This type of regression should not be happening in a production environment.
Prompt and concrete action is urgently needed to address these issues. More importantly, future updates must be properly tested so that existing, functional features are not rendered unusable yet again.
This is not merely a request for improvement, but a necessary demand for the software to meet a basic, workable standard.
I am having the same issues!
Well said. This is not the time of year for us to have these issues.
Hi @askquesion Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed feedback in the Community. We understand how disruptive these performance and stability issues are, and we recognize the impact they are having on day-to-day work.
The behaviors described have been reported to our development team and are actively being worked on. We are also continuing to gather and review feedback from multiple users to ensure concerns are fully documented and addressed.
We appreciate everyone helping to pinpoint these behaviors and we will continue to monitor progress closely. We will post in the Community threads when more updates become available.
Thank you for your patience and for bringing these concerns to our attention.
Kathi,
Do you have any idea at all when we can expect a fix to the 2025/26 Easy Acct? I still haven't closed 2025 because I have missing information in my A/R! My employees are expecting a paycheck on Friday and right now that is up in the air, as well as, all the vendor checks that need to go out!!! I have never been more disappointed in an accounting software than I have been with Intuit Easy Acct! I'm 59 years old and have worked with a lot of different software programs in my time and this is by far the worst one yet!
I've been using EasyACCT since the 90s and have never seen such a horrible release. Sales journals are gone, prior outstanding checks disappeared from the bank reconciliation. I'm afraid to even look for any more problems. You need to shut off updates until you can get things fixed CORRECTLY. I can't imagine how much time is being wasted because of this.
ABSOLUTELY TRUE
Hi @StahlManager Thank you for sharing this. We know this has been frustrating.
At this time, we do not have a specific ETA for when all of the converns will be fully resolved. We recognize this is not the answer you are hoping for, but we want to be transparent. As fixes are released, we will update the Community accordingly.
We truly appreciate you taking the time to share and give feedback. All feedback given has been shared with the appropriate teams as they continue to work on fixes.
FOR ALL THAT IS HOLY IN THIS WORLD..............CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THIS SOFTWARE BEFORE I LOSE MY MIND. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. I HAVE NEVER EVER SEEN SO MUCH MESSED UP WITH EASY ACCT. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS SOFTWARE BEFORE THIS UPDATE.........NOW I AM NOT SO SURE ANYMORE.
Thank you for the continued feedback.

I'm having issues installing the program. Whenever I try to install it, I get an error that says that there are no local hard drives. Is there a fix for this?
Hi @joabrown1 This does not sound familiar. We just downloaded the new release, ran it and do not get this message. We would try:
Absolutely feel the same way. Called in the inquire about the 2nd update that was supposed to drop today (that is what i was told by EasyAcct yesterday), another update will not be released until the 23rd.
