My stepmother died on 5/27/2020. Her stimulus check arrived in her checking account 5/28/2020. Does my dad have to return this money? It would help with her final expenses, but he wants to do the right thing.
Everything I have read said if you receive after someones death you must return, but in this case less than 24 hours is a bit much.
Thanks for your help.
