
EasyACCT or IRS login screen appears as a white window with no way to log in

When attempting to log into EasyACCT or the Information Return System (IRS), the login window is white or blank and doesn't provide a way to log in.
Step 1: Make sure you are running the most current version of the software:
- From the Help menu, select About EasyACCT (or Information Return System).
- Select the System Info tab.
- Update the software if needed.
Step 2: Make sure the customer account number is correct:
- Open Windows Search.
- Search for EasyACCT Connected Customer or Information Return System Connected Customer.
- On the screen make sure that Customer Account Number (CAN) and Billing ZIP code are correct.
Step 3: Clearing the program browser cache:
- Close the software.
- Open File Explorer.
- Browse to the CefSharpBrowserCaches folder:
- The default location is C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Intuit\Common\CefSharpBrowserCaches
- For Intuit Hosting users the location is H:\Settings\Users\ # \AppData\Local\Intuit\Common
- The Username portion of the path will be your Windows Username.
- This does contain a hidden folder. To show hidden folders: In File Explorer, select the View tab, then check Hidden Items.
- Find the EZACCTW folder for the year impacted.
- Right click on the folder and select Rename.
- For Intuit Hosting users use F2 to Rename the file if your screen is maximized or in File Explorer select Home then Rename.
- Add OLD to the end.
- Example: EXACCTWOLD
- Open the software.
- The cache will be rebuilt automatically.
