Partner Data Import for Lacerte
by Intuit• Updated 3 weeks ago
Beginning in Lacerte 2018, you can import Partner Data from a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file. Most commonly these are created using a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel. You can both add new partners with the import, as well as update existing partners.
When preparing your file for import:
- Only one partner should be listed on each row.
- Each item should reside within its own cell.
- Partner and related information should reside in the same row.
- Other items to note:
- Foreign addresses do not contain a zip code, and must be manually entered
- Each partner is unique, if partners are duplicated, errors can be encountered during import
- There are no blank cells in the required fields such as SSN/EIN
