Turning off Windows Compatibility mode to improve ProSeries performance

If you receive the following pop-up message, you may need to turn off Windows Compatibility mode to improve performance in ProSeries:

  • ProSeries has detected that you have Windows Compatibility mode enabled. Compatibility mode is known to cause ProSeries to run slowly. We recommend that you first confirm that you are on the latest version of Windows and then turn off Windows Compatibility mode.

Follow these steps to turn off Windows Compatibility mode:

  1. Right-click on the ProSeries desktop icon.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Select the Compatibility tab.
  4. Uncheck the box labeled Run this program in Compatibility mode for:
