Every day is a learning experience - just when I think I've nailed down a particular issue or concept, those that are truly enlightened are tickled by me raging ego.

Humility is a work in progress - I wilt in shame every year when I pounce on an unsuspecting fellow preparer to upbraid him/her for the careless blunders that I've discovered on a return that they prepared the prior year. Only to be informed that I was the perpetrator of said blunders, not the hapless victim of my intended scorn. The more I work in this field, the more it dawns on me that the depth of my ignorance is limitless...
