Too Good to be True

Got the following email, which didn't get filtered out into my spam box for some reason.

Purportedly, it's from Equifax Workforce Solutions with a legit looking email address.  I've been selected as one of the thousand lucky subscribers to have my bitcoins doubled!  I only need to send my bitcoins to their bitcoin address and "allow up to 1 day before funds are returned with doubled amount."

Today's my lucky day!  And today is not April 1, so, that proves it's not an April Fool's joke, right?

But I think I'm just going to sit this one out and wait for them to come back with a better offer.  Having to wait for 1 day only to double my investment?  They could do better than that, especially since they are serious about not sending this on April 1!

Congratulations! You are one of the thousand lucky winners

You have been selected alongside thousands of other subscribers at equifax in our partnership with crypto.com.

Crypto.com has agreed to double all bitcoins sent to this unique bitcoin address: <redacted>

Please allow up to 1 day  before funds are returned with doubled amount.

Congratulations!

I've heard that they are doing that promotion because the Nigerian Prince has sponsored them.

I would have loved to double my life savings except that's not enough for me to retire. 🤣

Give me a second to calculate my fortune.  So if they double your bitcoin, that would be zero times 2 equals?  Sorry, the number is too big for me to compute.  Give me some time and I'll be back with my calculated fortune.  Fireball for everyone!
