Economic stimulus check

Taxpayer has 17 year old daughter and asks if he doesn't claim her can she get the full $1200.00 stimulus check.  Is this even legal?

Not if she isn't providing over half of her own support.

If the child qualifies as a dependent of someone else, even if that other person doesn't claim them, they still cant claim themselves.
