Joint 1095A form but filing seperately

I have a couple that is wanting to file separately but they have a joint 1095A form. Can you file this on just one or do you have to separate the amounts between the two individuals (if you split it, do you just do 50% on each)? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

If both are covered, it is split 50/50.  See Allocation Situation 2 in the Instructions to Form 8962.  In some cases you will need to look up the correct SLCSP for each return.

Be aware that filing as MFS will disqualify the credit.  If they received Advance credit, they may need to repay some or all of the Advance credit.
