I am having trouble finding a definitive answer to what constitutes Indirect Ownership for Part two on Schedule B-1 of form 1065 and was wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction. I am filing a partnership return where there are three equal members. A husband, a wife and a parent of the husband. I believe the direct relationship is 1/3 for each partner and I need to find out what indirect ownership exist. The research I have done makes me think that because of the husband/wife relationship as well as the parent/child relationship create indirect ownership. Maybe I'm looking too much into this but any ideas would help.
