Hi LLC paid $5000 on 6/15/22 as 1st installment of PTE and has a $4200 PTE balance due when tax return is completed. Can we pay the balance due with tax return or we need to submit it separately on FTB website? Thanks

I would go to the website & pay it.... to make 'sure' CA/FTB treats it correctly as a PEET payment.
Thank you for your quick reply. Nowadays, I prefer using software as much as possible since all the bank data is already there. I just don't want to enter the bank routing number and account number again on FTB website and worry that I miss something. I guess FTB does not want to make it easy for tax professionals.
