1095-A shared allocation causing reject

Parent gets 1095-A with their information and grown independent child under Part ll " covered individuals". The parent said to allocate 100% to them and 0 to the grown child.  In Proseries I see at the bottom of the 1095-A data entry there is a place to allocate in a smart worksheet.  The problem is I can't get the program to allow me to enter the parents info in Part I.  It self feeds the tax clients information on the top.  If I leave the independent child information on top and list both under covered individuals the tax return rejects as not matching the IRS.  Help please

The names in Part 1 don't really matter.

But I am a bit confused.  Are you saying that on the physical 1095-A that Part 1 is issued to the KID?  And that BOTH the parent and kid are "covered" on the same 1095-A?

Are you preparing the parent's return?  Or are you preparing the kid's return?

Part one has parents name.  I'm preparing the kids return.  Both are covered under the one 1095-A.  I over road the names at the top and filled out the bottom apportioning the kid 0% and the return went through.

Thanks
