Submitted by TaxDave1 2 weeks agoYou need to use the "Alert" functionality that is within the ProSeries software to inform your users of upcoming efiling shutdown dates. I had checked in advance and learned online that the IRS would be shutting down the e-filing system on December 26th, 2025. But I did NOT get any alert or other notification that Intuit would stop submissions after 6PM on December 22nd. I was definitely caught off guard with this. I often get "Alerts" through the tax software for preparing for upcoming tax deadlines, and the latest "Alert" in my tax software is about an upcoming conference in January. Surely you could let your users know about the upcoming e-filing shutdown if you have a deadline earlier than the IRS. I am very disappointed in Intuit and ProSeries for not doing a better job in informing me about this.
