Line 1 of Schedule 1S should pull automatically from 1040 lines 4b and 5b. This is too significant a deduction to rely on manual entry.

I hope you'll change it. I'm not sure that voting is representative as the folks that need this change aren't looking for it. ie, the change quite likely helps best cpas who dont regularly prepare ME tax returns and who therefore aren't looking for this topic in Idea Exchange.
