Form 8804, 8805 & 8813

Hello,

I would like to see forms 8804, 8805 & 8813, since this should go hand in hand with form 1065 when there are foreign partners, other lower cost tax software's have those forms already.

I also see comments from the community that Intuit need to allow FOREIGNUS on the K-1 partner tax ID, now they only allow either tax ID or APPLD FOR, which APPLD FOR not accurate since partners do not need to apply for tax ID to be admitted as a  partner in a partnership (1065 tax return).

Thank you!

Thanks for the idea and replies to add forms 8804, 8805, 8813 and allow FOREIGNUS on the K-1 partner tax ID . We are changing the status to "Open for voting" since it has been around for over 30 days and no longer considered "New".

Yeah, unfortunately ProSeries sucks with many things related to foreign taxpayers.

Even more unfortunately, it is very unlikely [edited] to change because ProSeries is based off of TurboTax, which is focused on US taxpayers.  If you have a lot of foreign taxpayers, you may consider looking into other software.

I think Bill means very unlikely to change.

Thank you all I think if this is the case I will have to find other software solution, specially I could get better software with little bit more than what I pay now to Proseries

Thanks for the correction, yes, I meant "unlikely".

George - Both ATX and TaxAct Professional have very similar data-entry to ProSeries.  I have no idea if they support those forms for foreign taxpayers, but you may want to 'demo' them when you are looking at other software.

I moved from ATX (yes forms are there) and I used TaxAct prior to ATX, but I will defiantly use ProSeries over those 2 software's, accuracy in much higher in ProSeries. So I am thinking to either do PPR using Lacerte or move completely to Ultra Tax.

Did you use Ultra Tax before?

I have not used either Lacerte or UltraTax.  However, if I were to switch software, there is NO WAY I would use another Intuit product (although I suppose the continuing to use ProSeries and use Lacerte on a PPR basis could be an option).  But if you were to go through the work to learn new software, I think I would completely move to the new software.

I have been requesting Form 8804, 8805, 8813 to be added into ProSeries for nearly 7 years; nothing is changed. Very disappointed.

@JB0816 That's how it goes. User suggestions are hardly ever implemented.
