Fixed Asset Classes

WPB

Would you please, please, please break out the assets into (at least) life/time classifications on the Depreciation Reports?  As in, please list the 3 year assets with summary totals; 5 year assets with summary totals, etc.  This certainly can't be that hard to accomplish.

I think some of the tax worksheets are organized this way.  Try playing around with some of the 4562 reports there.

If you don't want to wait for Intuit to make this enhancement, you can use any number of custom fields to organize things however you want to.  Here in VA, I have to organize things for personal property tax purposes into categories for software, computer hardware, furniture & equipment, machinery & tools, etc.

The custom report system is quite powerful, I suspect you could create something that would subtotal based on class life, but I've never tried it.
