Both these programs work with Lacerte, why not Proseries?

Maybe because Pro Series costs considerably less than Lacerte? If Pro Series had all of the options and capabilities that Lacerte has, then Intuit would have to raise the fee for Pro Series, and most Pro Series users do not want this.

If those are things that you can't live without, think about switching over to Lacerte.

This is Intuit's process of determining if something should be added to ProSeries:

1)  Is it mandated by the IRS or State agencies?  If not, go to #2.

2) Is there a high demand from TurboTax users?  If Intuit can't profit from an addition to TurboTax, it isn't going to be added to ProSeries.  Go to #3.

3) Will users pay an add-on fee, and if so, how large of a demand will there be for it?  Because of potential low demand, Intuit's add-on fee to use those programs won't generate enough profit for them to bother to add it to the program.  Go to #4.

4) Intuit pretends they care about ProSeries users and falsely give them hope that their suggestion may be implemented someday.
