9325 to Print with Client Return

Abhay Bhargava

Clients want to know if return was accepted so best is to print 9325 with the return that we email client.  They can save return with this confirmation/acknowledgement.  1040 seems to print 9325 but 1065 and 1120s do not.

Thanks

Ok - so you made me look.  End of a long Monday, I thought what ! , there is a 9325 in 1065 & 1120S program.  Nope.  Is not available for business returns, therefore, it does not print.  It is for Individual returns only.

You could print out Electronic Postmark Report or one of the many other electronic filing reports to send to your client as proof.

E-mail the 9325 with the return?  Are you transmitting the return before the client sees it?  When are you getting the signed 8879?

It's sending final copy after all done and e-filed.  Then client requests final copy so would like to email with 9325.

Signature and approval is all taken much before this.

Yes that's true.  However, it's better to have it as part of tax return rather than separate page.  The way it prints for 1040, it can print for other returns.  Hope Proseries will make this change

IRS Form 9325 is only meant for 1040 returns......  anyhow that's the language of the form I'm familiar with.  So it's not Proseries that needs to make a change - it's IRS.

Very interesting.  I thought it's applicable to all e-filed returns.  However, it seems to be that it's only for 1040.  Thanks for your post.
