Submitted by hedgeslaw on 07-23-2024 06:43 PMAccording to IRS Pub 969 (2023) a taxpayer has until the tax filing deadline plus extensions to remove excess contributions for the prior year. However, the Line C of the "Line 2 Smart Worksheet" on forms 8889-S and 8889-T have the April 15th date. Please reword that line item to show the tax filing deadline.
