Working from home and moving to a different state

My client works from home and is employed by a company in NC. She moved from NC to Ohio mid-year. However, the employer still withheld NC taxes the entire year. She also had approximately $5k in dividend income. Do I need to file an Ohio return? She moved on 7/1/2023. Should I allocate half of her W2 income to OH and half of her dividend income to OH? Should I just file the part year resident NC return?

Yes she has to file OH. She lives there. File a part year return.

NC may tax all the wages, or maybe only tax the wages for the part of the year she lived there. Look up what their telecommuter rule is.

The more I know, the more I don't know.
