Not a question per se but maybe someone from Proseries will see this.
Client has a different depreciation amounts for Federal and State. No big deal.
Wisconsin Form 3 has a Federal Column, an adjustment column, and an amount under Wisconsin. We are good here.
Line 2 Net Rental Income records the difference perfectly. No problem here and there are no other Fed/State differences.
Line 23's Federal column looks correct, total income is rental income plus interest income.
Line 23's Wisconsin's total column looks correct.
Line 23's adjustment column is calculated as Total Federal Income plus total Wisconsin Income?
Example:
Federal Income Adjustment Wisconsin
$20000 $39,000 $19000
I think it should be:
Federal Adjustment Wisconsin
20,000 -$1,000 $19,000
So, I will be doing an override but maybe a Proseries programmer can fix this minor issue.
Thanks for the heads up on this matter. I agree the end result is correct but that adjustment column is behaving incorrectly. Let me discuss with the developers and work on finding a resolution for you.
Thanks again for the information. The development team is making the fix and will be pushing out an update tonight. When you get back on the software, make sure you download the latest update for Wisconsin Partnership and your issue should be resolved.
Sorry for any pain this caused you or your clients but we appreciate the heads up. Good luck this tax season!
Thank you
