    Where does the tax preparer sign the 1040?

    Right smack dab in the center of the front page.....Page 1 is at the top and Page 2 is at the bottom of the 1040...your signature goes in the center of the page.

    It should all be filled in automatically by the program if you have yourself set up as the paid preparer….and a typewritten signature for the preparer is all that is required by IRS
