Where do I enter the cost of a tankless gas water heater to get credit on 5695?

I have a single client who purchased a tankless gas water heater. I know where to input the costs for a joint return, but I can't seem to find a spot on the 5695 worksheet for the entry. It feels like it belongs on Line 22b, but that part of the worksheet says:

"CAUTION: Do NOT use this copy of Form 5695 unless you are married filing jointly and both you and your spouse lived apart in separate main homes".

That's what is throwing me off. Any one else run into this?

Line 22a.

Ignore that incorrect statement that Intuit put on that worksheet.  That is the only way to do it.
